The lingcod bite was on this Sunday December, 19th

Capt. Aaron and crew Wesley too great clients and friends Bill Ellis and Mel Springs out with friends and family for crew limits of big lingcod and near limits of jumbo crab!

The morning started out with a cold stiff east wind but the guys came prepared with their foul weather gear. All bundled up we headed south. We were greated by a great view of the Point Reyes coast and a small swell. We made multiple stops in the morning trying to catch sanddabs but unfortunately they did not bite well. We did catch some interesting fish including a huge Ratfish.

After struggling to catch a few sanddabs we dropped on deep rocks with 8” Pitbull Tackle swimbaits where we were greated by a lot of hungry lingcod. With 16 lingcod on board by around 12 we switched over to try for rockfish but they were not having it. So we headed back to the crab traps. We pulled 10 traps for 49 jumbo dungeness and 6 big rock crabs.

It was a great day with good friends. There are only a few days left before the end of the year and even fewer spots left. If you want to squeeze onto the calendar call Capt. Aaron at (707)971-0847 or go online at svamarinecharters.com
