Captain Aaron took 4 clients on Ghost today, Sunday August 12th. We caught 5 salmon up to 20 pounds on herring at 70 feet otw just south of Bird Rock. It was another foggy day but the water was calm and the fishing was good. We started the morning trolling off of Tomales Point but after a short time trolling we picked up the lines and headed to the Tomales Bar to see the conditions. It was beautiful and sunny just inside the mouth of Tomales where we caught a bunch of anchovies. We then proceeded to the ocean side of Tomales Point where we were going to catch some bottom fish until I metered salmon. Then we switched back to salmon trolling. It started great with steady action. Over the course of the ladder half of the day we had a lot of bites and action that resulted in 5 beautiful salmon. It was a great day fishing with excellent company. The salmon are still biting in Bodega Bay and the conditions look like they will continue to get better and better. See you on the water soon.
