A salmon in bad weather

Ghost II came back early with just the 1 salmon today for 3 clients. Capt. Aaron and Crew Wesley headed out this morning with a high winds forecast to try and chase down a few salmon with some great clients before the wind blew too hard. Unfortunately the fish did not cooperate and the weather was just as forecast. It was a tough sea state from the get go but our crew toughed it out in 240 to 260 feet of water between Tomales Point and Elephant Rock. By the time it was too much to handle we had released 5 shakers and kept 1 fish. Most of the fish bit a purple haze hoochie behind a chartreuse flasher at 100ft on the wire. Once the weather lays down we are optimistic about the fishing opportunities in Bodega Bay. If you want to find a spot in April call Capt. Aaron at (707)971-0847.
